Aiken County committee backs starting Facebook Live streams of main council meetings

"All of the Committee was in favor of starting to live stream via Facebook live the main Council meeting, then add on the streaming of other meetings later on," the committee minutes state. Councilman Landon Ball asked staff to bring options and pricing to the Committee at its July meeting, indicating the next step will be a cost and platform assessment.
The minutes list Committee Chairman Andrew Siders, Vice Chairman Landon Ball and the Honorable Mike Kellems as present; County Attorney Brad Farrar participated by phone. The committee did not take a formal recorded vote on implementation but recorded consensus support and set a procedural follow-up (staff report in July).
