Resident voices truck-access and alley maintenance concerns; builder says library parking drainage completed

Resident Kent Pratt told the Council he had heard talk about truck access to his store on Camelia Street and worried that the north/south alley between buildings could become a two-way thoroughfare, raising maintenance concerns for the alley south of his store. Pratt also said he was concerned about drainage at the new library parking lot.
Gary Piercy, identified in the minutes as the builder of the new library, said drainage has been considered and installed for the parking lot and that the parking lot work included paving 2,200 square feet of City property behind the clinic; he said he will submit a bill for paving of City property that is not part of the library. Susan Piercy, with Friends of the Library, invited the Council to the new library open house on July 11, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
