Royal City council approves routine payroll, claims and Summerfest agreement; excuses two members

The Royal City Council convened June 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Pro Tempore Piercy presiding. Council voted to excuse Mayor Christensen and Councilmember Kannely, then unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included payroll for 06/15/2025 totaling $31,248.32 and claims #32080–32096 in the amount of $52,682.24.
Finance Director Janice Flynn presented an agreement for city Summerfest services and the council approved a motion authorizing the mayor to sign the contract. Other routine business included general department reports. The meeting was adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
