Mayor Mark Shepherd congratulated Layton City for receiving a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) federal award for construction of a pedestrian bridge that will grade-separate a railroad crossing and improve pedestrian safety. Mindy Hunsaker of Layton City provided a brief description of the project.
Miranda Jones Cox, WFRC Government Affairs Manager, provided a legislative update on notable measures in the 2026 Utah General Session and reminded members they can subscribe to WFRC’s Government Affairs emails and reference WFRC’s bill and appropriations trackers on the agency website for ongoing updates.
