Trans Com approves modifications to 2026–2031 TIP and reviews FY2025 federal obligations

Ben Wuthrich, WFRC Transportation Improvement Program Coordinator, presented requested board modifications to the 2026–2031 TIP and explained the changes did not require a new air-quality conformity analysis or a 30-day public comment period. Mayor Sheri Bingham moved to approve the resolution to modify the TIP; Carlton Christensen seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Wuthrich also presented a report prepared by WFRC staff with assistance from UDOT and UTA accounting for funds obligated during federal fiscal year 2025 (Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025). He said those federal funds represent about twenty percent of total highway and transit revenues for the State of Utah; the minutes do not list line-item dollar amounts or vote tallies.
