County Clerk Rebecca Brassart asked the Board to approve a $2,800 payment to CIC for on-site budget training; the Board approved the payment during the April 28 meeting. The Board also approved raises for two county employees: Cassy Spoonemore’s wage was increased from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, and Michelle Mosler’s wage was increased from $15.50 to $16.00 per hour.
Separately, Larry Hiatt of The News Report presented a draft graduation announcement for county employees' families and requested publication at a cost of $350, to be paid from Commissioners Garner and Moates’ recreation fund. Commissioner Jack Garner moved to approve publication; Commissioner Cory Moates seconded. The motion passed 2–1 with Chair Myra Carlisle Frazier voting no.
