Following an announced executive session to discuss board appointments and a personnel matter, the chair reported that the board had agreed to enter a one-year employment agreement with the county manager and that the manager had indicated his acceptance. The chair said no further action was required at that time.
The executive session was convened during the Jan. 20 work session; commissioners voted to go into and then to come out of executive session during the meeting. The chair indicated that Miss West would give a report on board appointments later that evening and that the employment agreement required no further immediate board action.
Because the personnel discussion occurred in executive session and the chair summarized the outcome, no additional detail on terms was presented in the work session.
