Iron County GIS specialist says data submission keeps county eligible for state grants

Neil Martinko, Iron County GIS Specialist, told the Land & Zoning Committee on March 17 that "all the required data has been submitted to the State so now Iron County remains eligible to apply for grants." Martinko said he is also working on updating datasets used by county staff and the public, specifically the county web map and Pictometry imagery. Zoning Department Administrator Erika Roeder noted the submission preserves the county's eligibility for grant programs that rely on current spatial data. The committee did not take formal action on the GIS update; the item served as an informational briefing and a prompt for continued data maintenance.
