The Winn Parish Police Jury approved weekly and monthly invoices totaling $1,174,839.91 across multiple funds, including the General Fund ($90,058.74), Road Fund ($252,970.63), Health Unit ($13,612.00), Sales Tax ($127,922.32), Library ($26,224.00) and weekly invoices ($664,052.22).
Juror Kyle Potts moved to approve the invoices and the motion carried with five yeas, zero nays, one absent and one abstained among members present. The minutes note the General Fund and Road Fund show temporary negative balances on the statement of revenues and expenditures pending ARPA/grant adjustments and FEMA reimbursements.
The Jury appointed Mark Files to the Saline Lake Game & Fish Preserve Commission for a four-year term (Sept. 20, 2025–Sept. 19, 2029) to replace Glynn Jones following his resignation; the appointment carried on the recorded vote. Juror Phillip Evans moved to advertise for bids on road materials and supplies for calendar year 2026; that motion also carried. The Jury adopted Resolution #015 of 2025 certifying participation in the State Off-System Bridge Replacement Program after a motion by Phillip Evans and second by Author Robinson.
All actions reported were carried by the present jurors; none created an immediate new line-item appropriation beyond standard procurement and certification procedures.
