Sequim planning staff outlines how public comments will be tracked ahead of Sept. 1 hearing

Carla explained how citizen comments will be documented and included in the staff report and exhibits for the Sept. 1 hearing. She said staff will assign each comment a number in chronological order, prepare a crosswalk table with the date, commenter and summary, and provide staff responses and recommended revisions in an exhibit to the staff report. "We have already received about a dozen comments since the release of last, from last Monday," she said.
Staff also described continued outreach: one more drop-in open house at the next Planning Commission meeting, the online open house available through Aug. 13, an updated website, and a public comment packet as an exhibit to the Sept. 1 staff report. Commissioners were invited to provide suggested revisions at the Aug. 4 meeting or during the public hearing.
