Winn Parish approves nearly $976,000 in invoices; General Fund shows temporary deficit

Line items reported to the Jury included: General Fund $71,198.80; Road Fund $65,939.78; Sales Tax $112,258.35; Library Weekly $9,178.70; and Weekly Invoices $717,230.76. The Bill Approval Committee report was signed by Frank McLaren, Deionne Carpenter and Kyle Potts.
Secretary/Treasurer Karen Tyler told jurors the General Fund currently shows a negative balance on the statement of revenues and expenditures because some items paid from ARPA and grant funds were not included in the original budget; those items will be amended or replaced by incoming funds. The motion to approve the report carried on a 6‑yea, 0‑nay, 1‑abstain vote.
