Winn Parish Industrial Board president announces resignation, schedules Sept. 23 meeting

President Larry Bates told the Winn Parish Industrial Board on Aug. 26 that he will formally resign as president because he is moving out of the parish. "I will formally be resigning as President as I am moving out of Parish," Bates said during opening announcements.
Bates asked the board to begin thinking about electing a new president and, by agreement of the members present, set the next Industrial Board meeting for Sept. 23, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. No formal replacement vote was recorded at the meeting; board members plan to address leadership selection at a future session.
