Superintendent of Schools Dr. Zircher told the board the district will open the parent portal to families on August 20 so parents can view schedules, teacher and classroom assignments after completing required annual forms. "Giving parents a heads up to mark August 20 on their calendar," Dr. Zircher said, adding that classroom supply lists will be posted on the district website and remaining schools’ lists will be available by August 3.
Dr. Zircher also announced the district was approved for a High-Intensity Tutoring grant totaling "$127,227" to be used this August for students entering grades 3–8. She described the program as virtual small-group instruction with a 3:1 ratio, delivering two hours of instruction per week in language arts and math; the funding will cover tutors, stipends, virtual resources and new laptops. Dr. Zircher encouraged parents to consult the district website and the site’s chatbot for program details and selection criteria.
