Residents favor switching ambulance service into Wabaunsee County at Volland townhall, commission told

Commission Chair James W. MacGregor reported that a March 19 townhall at the Volland Store drew nearly all property owners in a proposed boundary-change area and that the consensus among attendees favored moving their properties from Ambulance District #1 (Morris County) into Ambulance District #2 (Wabaunsee County).
MacGregor said attendees appeared less concerned about potential changes to fire district boundaries; he explained that any change to the fire district boundaries would require a petition signed by property owners, and that the petition form is available in the County Clerk's Office. MacGregor told the commission that the next formal steps on the ambulance district boundary will require action by the County Commission.
