Board members debated whether the Authority should make arts awards as part of its urban renewal activity and whether a policy is needed to manage future requests. After discussion, a motion was made: "A motion to approve financial support of Arts and Cultural Coalition in the amount of $5,000 for the mural project." The motion was seconded and passed by roll call.
Staff said the Authority will record the allocation and requested staff to develop a policy to guide future requests so the board has criteria for similar asks.
