County awards resurfacing contract; structure replacement to precede paving on Wabash Road

Janice Hughes said E&B Paving's combined resurfacing bid totaled $1,099,741; the CCMG award is $879,792.80 (80%), leaving a local match of $219,948.20. A separate, non-CCMG structure replacement on Wabash Road is estimated at $711,764 and will use local/LPA funds. Hughes noted the highway department’s combined local spend for the projects is $931,622.20. The sequence will replace the structure first (targeted completion in October 2026), followed by paving, with overall work expected to finish by late November 2026.
