Mount Vernon’s council approved Invoice #0726 from Worldmaker Resilience Institute for $50,126.55 and designated the payment to be covered by Department of Justice COPS grant funds for the Mt. Vernon/Lisbon Police Department.
Council also approved adding Visitor Center cameras to City Hall’s monitoring system and authorized an access control system for the Visitor Center not to exceed $3,200. The access control addition was approved on a motion by Rose, seconded by Andresen.
City staff will carry out procurement and integration tasks consistent with grant terms and the approved spending limit for the access control system.
