The American Fork City Council voted to adopt a tentative budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027, and set a public hearing for June 9, 2026.
Budget Officer Anna Montoya summarized outreach efforts, noting the city held three work sessions and a public open house on May 5 where residents could review the budget. "We held a budget open house on May 5, 2026 where the public was invited to attend and ask questions regarding the budget and the property tax impact schedule," she said. Council Member Ryan Hunter thanked Montoya and staff for their work and encouraged residents to review the materials.
The council adopted Resolution No. 2026-05-21R to adopt the tentative budget and establish the June 9 hearing. Adoption of the tentative budget moves the process forward; final adoption will follow public hearings and any further adjustments required by the council.
