Nederland police assistant chief honored after completing state LECOP leadership program

Chief Rod Carroll and council honored Assistant Police Chief Andrew Arnold for completing the Texas Police Chiefs Association Law Enforcement Command Operations Program (LECOP). Carroll said the program includes 10 modules covering management, investigations, traffic enforcement, budgetary matters and leadership and noted Arnold is among a small percent of officers statewide to complete the program.
Assistant Chief Arnold thanked Chief Carroll for the leadership and opportunity that allowed him to finish the course. Councilmembers congratulated Arnold and commended the department for professional development.
