Deputy director reports on RFP scoring and BHSA integrated plan timeline

Deputy Director Joseph Hallett said he has temporarily stepped into Cassandra's previous role as Behavioral Health Director and will return full-time to his prior Assistant Director role once a permanent replacement is selected. "He will continue to serve in his role as Assistant Director for Health and Human Services during this time," the committee was told.
Hallett reported that the County is currently scoring RFPs for the new Behavioral Health Treatment Center and for early intervention funds; he said the number of proposals exceeds available funding, making selection difficult. He added that a draft integrated plan for the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) has been submitted to the Department of Health Care Services for initial approval and will come back for review by the Board, community stakeholders, and the Board of Supervisors with an approval target by July.
