Napa County Behavioral Health Board launches recruitment for four open seats
Summary
The Executive Committee announced four vacancies on the 15-member Napa County Behavioral Health Board and directed the Clerk of the Board to distribute recruitment notices to local school districts as required by Proposition 1. Two applicants are currently identified.
Chair Patricia Sullivan told members that "there are currently four open positions on the Board" and encouraged outreach to recruit qualified applicants for the 15-member board, of which 11 seats are filled.
Member Kristine Haataja said the Clerk of the Board will distribute the announcement to the Napa County Office of Education, Napa Valley Unified School District, St. Helena Unified School District and other county districts, noting the step is required under Proposition 1. Two applicants were identified at the meeting: one from an educational agency and one applying as a family member/concerned citizen. Kristine Haataja said members may also share the media release on neighborhood platforms such as Nextdoor and Facebook to broaden outreach.
The Executive Committee did not take a formal vote on appointments during the meeting. The recruitment notice will include a position job description and a media notice regarding applicants from educational agencies.
