Jurors approve infrastructure invoices and upgrades, reject courthouse compressor bids

At the Nov. 25 meeting the jury approved three vendor payments totaling $71,736.12 for a road culvert and park improvements, accepted an amended construction proposal for clerk office upgrades, renewed HVAC maintenance, and rejected bids for a courthouse compressor.
The St. Helena Parish Police Jury approved several infrastructure and facilities actions during the Nov. 25 meeting. The jury approved Invoice #6 from ProCivil Construction, LLC for $36,049.65 for the Otis & Willie Matthews Road culvert replacement (Disaster Projects Fund) and Invoice #4 from Southern Sites Services, LLC for $35,686.47 for improvements to Charlie Overton Park and the 5th Ward Recreational Facility (LA Love Outdoors Project). The minutes list both motions as carried unanimously.
The jury also accepted an amended proposal from Prestige Construction & Management for $17,119.00 for Clerk of Court office upgrades and renewed an HVAC preventive maintenance agreement with Sharkey Mechanical Services, LLC. Separately, jurors unanimously rejected all bids submitted for installation of a new 7.50 ton package dual compressor for the St. Helena Parish Courthouse (2nd floor).
