County staff seek $104,500 to move elections office, early voting to Whitesville Road

Andy said the front classrooms would be used for early voting and that equipment would be secured behind a glass/security wall; staff said the building is fully ADA compliant and has ample parking. The presenters said they expect to be operational in time for early voting and cited May 19 as a milestone date; the elections board planned to vote on Friday the 13th if the commission approves the budget at tonight's meeting. Commissioners asked about advertising/notification, signage, security and power upgrades; staff said bids are in hand and vendors are aware of the timeline.
