Dufresne said crews closed the weir in South Vacherie and lowered canal surface levels ahead of heavy rainfall forecasts and that contractors are relocating a water line on Lena Street for the Humble Phase 3 drainage project. He reported embankment repairs to keep the Buddy Whitney Canal project moving and said Entergy has proposed a Highway Lighting Project along Highway 20 and Bayou Chevreuil estimated at $230,000; the parish has begun the permitting process. He also outlined routine outfall maintenance, current recreation‑league registration deadlines, upcoming Market Day vendor applications, and a June 4 small-business banquet.
