The St. James Parish Council voted to adopt a series of resolutions on routine payroll and procurement matters. Resolutions included approval of payroll numbers for June 2026 (Res. 26-115) and disbursement authorizations for subsequent payroll periods (Res. 26-116, Res. 26-117, Res. 26-118). Each resolution was adopted by roll call vote with six council members recorded in favor and Council Vice-Chairman Courtney Long absent.
The council also adopted resolutions to accept work performed by Southern Underground of Louisiana LLC for the Union Pacific Railroad Culvert Improvements Site No. 3 Magnolia Ditch Project (Res. 26-120), to authorize the parish president to sign a contract with Graves Public Services, LLC for professional services (Res. 26-121), to approve a CRISI grant application on behalf of Louisiana Sugar Refining, LLC (Res. 26-124), to reject all bids received for culvert materials because of insufficient award language and to readvertise for bids (Res. 26-125, Res. 26-126), and to advertise for the purchase of two new 2026 or newer dump trucks (Res. 26-127). For each resolution the transcript records motions, seconds, and a roll call showing the six present council members voting in favor; the outcome for all listed resolutions was adoption.
