Parish readies seniors and operations as Tropical Storm Arthur brings heavy rain threat

Operations Director Ryan Larousse reported crews were clearing catch basins and that crews remained on call to respond to rising water levels at Lac des Allemands.
Officials emphasized preparedness resources and timing: LIHEAP online registration opens June 22 and the Louisiana Fortify Homes Grant (up to $10,000 for IBHS‑standard roof upgrades) had an application deadline of June 19, 2026. The parish is hosting the senior workshop and has mobilized staff and industry partners to assist with preparedness supplies.
