Parks & Recreation readies lake entrance and spring events; 15,000 Easter eggs filled

Martin Jones, Director of Parks & Recreation, told the commissioners construction on the lake-entrance project is nearly complete: demolition and grading of the second booth and removal of concrete pads are done, patching is scheduled the week after prep, and asphalt availability begins April 1 so the two-lane entrance should be ready before the lake opening.
Jones also said staff have filled "15,000 eggs" for an April 4 Easter Egg hunt in partnership with the Sheriff, Central Fire and Rigby Police Department and sponsored by Walmart. He reported the recreational basketball season concluded successfully and that, after discussions with local school districts, the department will add a competitive three-versus-three league next season.
