The Camptonville Elementary School Board voted to approve Amanda Hines to a two-year board term during its Oct. 29 meeting. Jessica Prince moved to approve the appointment and Shonti Burke seconded; the minutes record four ayes (Karen Barnett, Shonti Burke, Reid Pearcy and Jessica Prince) and no nays or absences.
The vote followed the board's return from a closed session earlier in the meeting; the minutes note the board went into closed session at 6:02 p.m. and returned at 6:46 p.m. with "No action to report." The meeting was called to order at 6:47 p.m. by Amanda Hines, who later presided over the election vote.
