Board authorizes chair to sign Health Department grant applications totaling $80,259

Melissa Miller of the Dallas County Health Department asked the board to sign the signature pages required to complete three FY2026'27 grant applications: an immunization action plan grant, a preparedness (FEP) grant, and a population-based state formula grant.
"The total of these grants is $80,000.259. $80,259," Miller said on the record and asked that the chair sign the signature pages to finalize the applications.
A commissioner moved that the chair sign the fiscal year 26'27 Ellis County Health Department grant application signature pages; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Commissioners noted the grants are considered vital to departmental operations.
