CASA reports growth, new youth-engagement plans and 12 active cases

"So I'm Jan Johnson, executive director," she said, then described new committee structures, increased county outreach and plans to add youth engagement that will involve high-school students in non-board roles.
Johnson said the program is currently handling 12 cases and noted the organization's recent success with events and sponsorships that expanded outreach across four counties. She invited commissioners and the public to an open board meeting and a child-abuse-awareness presentation in April and asked for continued county support.
Commissioners thanked the director for the update and acknowledged CASA's role serving children in multiple counties.
