Council adopts ordinance transferring seven recreation properties from Metro District to city

Public Works Director Larry Nenna told the council this is the second‑reading item for ordinance 24‑04 and described it as the transfer of the first seven properties from an original list of about 104 properties; he said some properties will not transfer because they contain facilities such as lift stations or wells. No members of the public signed up to speak on the ordinance.
A council member moved to adopt ordinance 24‑04; the motion was seconded and the council voted to approve the ordinance. The council record shows the motion carried and the ordinance was approved on the floor.
Nenna said he expects to return in subsequent meetings as the city continues processing further property transfers from the district.
