The Northland Community Schools Board approved a slate of contracts, service agreements and memberships for the 2026–2027 year at its June 10 meeting.
Approved items included naming 1st National Bank of Walker as the official district depository and retaining Pemberton, Sorlie, Rufer, Kerschner, PLLP as school attorneys. The board approved the renewal contract with Weizenegger Engel Insurance and a services agreement with Interquest Canines. The board also approved agreements and renewals with North Homes for Early Childhood services and Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS), an Early Childhood Collaborative Agreement with NECC (Family Center), a contract for athletic training services with Grand Itasca, and a contract for services with ARCC.
The board approved an agreement to share Social Worker Karissa Benoit with Hill City Public Schools effective for the 2026–2027 school year, and approved membership in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) for 2026–2027. All motions were recorded as passing unanimously (7–0).
