Northland board approves termination, accepts resignation and a retirement

At its June 10 meeting the Northland Community Schools Board approved three personnel actions. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 122A.40, Subdivision 5, the board voted to non-renew and terminate the probationary contract of teacher Kristen Panchyshyn effective at the close of the 2025–2026 school year; the resolution directs that written notice be sent to the teacher. The motion was made by Bill Wake and seconded by Linda Knox and carried 7–0.
The board also accepted the resignation of Megan Beck, High School Special Education teacher, effective at the end of the 2026 school year (motion by Linda Knox; second by Aaron Ammerman; vote 7–0). Separately, the board accepted Ken Grabinski’s intent to retire, effective Oct. 1, 2026 (motion by Linda Knox; second by Aaron Ammerman; vote 7–0).
