The Castle Pines City Council voted to approve a Colorado hotel‑and‑restaurant liquor license for Blue Star Resort and Golf LLC, which will operate the Canyon House at 1419 Westbridge Drive. The motion to approve was made by Council member Hudson and seconded; Clerk Toby Duffy read staff findings that notice was posted on Sept. 23, newspaper publication ran Sept. 26, the site is zoned mixed use, fingerprints and background checks showed applicant and manager were qualified, and petitioning showed neighborhood support.
Independent petitioning firm LiquorPost reported door‑to‑door results showing about 92% of collected signatures in favor (123 business signatures, 83 residential signatures; business support about 98% and residential about 89%). Attorney Robert Dhill and Blue Star VP Steven Rosa described robust staff training and pool‑area controls; council discussion included pool safety and staffing. The roll call recorded Yes votes from Council members Blue, Mayor Engerman, Cole, Hudson and Volby; the motion passed.
