The Van Buren County Board authorized the county engineer to purchase an 8-foot by 18-foot enclosed trailer from Cantril Truck & Trailer for $12,250 to support secondary-roads operations. The motion passed unanimously.
The board also authorized county staff to pursue the potential purchase of a used F-550 service truck from Murphy Tractor, contingent on inspection by the maintenance supervisor and mechanics. County Engineer Ryne Thornburg reminded the board the Roadway Safety Planning meeting is scheduled 8:30–11:30 AM Friday, Feb. 14 at the Fair View Barn, County Fairgrounds.
