Tourism council to compare county remote participation policy with 2021 tourism policy; bylaws vote deferred to April

At the March 19 meeting, Chair Bessie Weber noted the tourism council has an older, tourism-specific remote participation policy from 2021. Grace Cooper said she had not previously seen the tourism-specific policy and that she had emailed the Board of Supervisors remote participation policy that appears on the county website.
Cooper will compare the two documents and report back at the council's April meeting so members can resolve discrepancies and finalize bylaws language. The council reviewed recommended changes to the tourism bylaws item by item but voted to table final approval until the April meeting to allow additional review and staff input.
No formal vote to adopt bylaws or to change policy occurred at the March meeting; council members asked staff to prepare a comparison and bring recommendations to the next meeting.
