Patrick County staff to meet with VTC April 1 as tourism strategic planning moves forward

At the March 19 meeting, Grace Cooper said she will meet with Kayln at the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) on April 1 to discuss what VTC can do to assist Patrick County with a tourism strategic plan.
Chair Bessie Weber referenced an email from board member James Houchins indicating that after the April 1 meeting the TAC board will come together to begin working on the strategic plan. Cooper and staff will report back at the April TAC meeting with details from the VTC conversation and next steps for the plan development timeline.
The council did not take any formal vote on the strategic plan at this meeting; members discussed sequencing and staff support needed to coordinate VTC assistance and future board working sessions.
