The Jay County Commissioners recorded a series of unanimous votes during the Oct. 28 meeting. Motions and outcomes included: approval of Hays & Sons Construction for courthouse flood repairs ($20,720.24); approval of Medler's Furniture flooring work ($5,240.02 and $7,063.97); approval of Paycourt as the clerk's new collections vendor (three-year agreement); approval and signing of a letter of support for Mainstream Fiber's BEAD application; approval of $1,720 for the county's share of gutter work at the Dunkirk Fire/EMS base; approval of the payroll docket; and approval of the October claims docket, including $10,800 to Ritter Strategic Services, $3,927.69 to The Restore Store, and a $1,129,085.70 claim to Brooks Construction for the 2024 CCMG project.
Every recorded motion on the transcript was moved by Commissioner Rex Journay and seconded by Commissioner Chad Aker and passed by unanimous vote of the present commissioners. The meeting adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
