Southwest Developmental Services asks Pawnee County for 2027 support; Commissioner Miller to join board

Steve Sandoval, president and CEO of Southwest Developmental Services, Inc., outlined SDSI’s mission, populations served and how county funds are used. Sandoval reviewed the agency’s finance plan and discussed differences between requested funding and amounts some counties actually pay.
Sandoval said Pawnee County needs a local board representative; Commissioner Miller volunteered to serve as the county’s SDSI board member. Commissioners discussed the funding request and variability among counties but did not record a funding commitment at the meeting.
