At the start of public comment, Sean Flanagan said he supports housing but is worried about the pace and cumulative impact of condominium development in Laconia, noting several active condo complexes and raising traffic, infrastructure and property-value concerns.
"I appreciate the opportunity to speak about the pace of residential development in Laconia...I'm concerned the number of condominium complexes...may be growing faster than the market can handle," Flanagan said, adding a request that the council consider a moratorium while zoning ordinances are rewritten. The council acknowledged the concern during public comment; no motion or formal regulatory action was taken at the meeting, and the item remains a community planning matter for future agenda or committee work.
