Votes and actions: EDA approves agenda, minutes and finance report; moves into closed session

The Economic Development Authority approved the March 25, 2026 meeting agenda on a motion by Doss Cummings, seconded by Rick Worley, and approved the February 25, 2026 minutes on a motion by Rodney Boyd, seconded by Doss Cummings; both motions carried unanimously. The Authority also approved the financial report on a motion by Doss Cummings, seconded by Rick Worley.
Later in the meeting the Authority voted to enter a Closed Meeting under Virginia Code Section 2.2-3711(A) to discuss commercial real estate located in the Blue Ridge District; the motion was made by Doss Cummings and seconded by Rodney Overby. The Authority reconvened on a motion by Doss Cummings, seconded by Rick Worley, certified by roll call that only the listed item was discussed, and then adjourned. No formal land acquisitions or other binding authorizations were recorded in the minutes.
