Winnfield, La. — Nicholas Fowlkes of Kohlder, Slaven & Company presented the Winn Parish Police Jury’s 2024 audit at the July 21 meeting and reported a clean audit with no findings.
Fowlkes told the Jury that the firm examined financial statements and internal controls and found all monies were expended in compliance with state and federal law. "The audit is clean with all monies being spent in accordance with State and Federal law," he said. President Frank McLaren thanked administrative staff for their work in producing the financial records the audit reviewed.
The audit finding of "no audit findings" means the auditors did not identify reportable deficiencies in internal control or compliance that required formal findings in the report. The Jury accepted the audit presentation during the meeting; no further action was recorded.
