Hospital withdraws ambulance district petition; plans to refile for November

Ann Taylor, legal counsel for Minidoka Memorial Hospital, told the Minidoka County Board of Commissioners during a public hearing that the hospital is withdrawing its petition to place an ambulance district on the ballot at this time. "We are withdrawing our petition for an ambulance district to be placed on the ballot at this time," Taylor said, and added the hospital plans to file a new petition for the November election.
Commissioner Orton opened the hearing at 9:30 AM and then solicited public comment; hearing none, the board accepted the withdrawal and closed the hearing at 9:33 AM. The minutes record that the hospital counsel announced the withdrawal and the hospital’s intent to seek a November ballot placement rather than pursue action at this meeting.
