The commission declared multiple items surplus for sale or disposal and approved Merik Consulting, Inc., of Byron, Georgia, for professional services to administer a localized roof repair at the Houston County Detention Center (6% consulting fee; 4% project administration) with an estimated project cost of $58,000 to be funded from 2018 SPLOST. The board tabled the Design-Build award for the HEMA Warehouse to Parrish Construction Group Inc. pending clarification of bid requirements and scope.
