Houston County accepts Riverbend North Phase 2 roads; Talton abstains from bond release vote

The Board recorded street lengths and speed limits as follows: Flat Shoals Drive — 0.341 mile (25 mph); Sapelo Way — 0.104 mile (25 mph); Taccoa Court — 0.094 mile (25 mph). Voting was Commissioner Robinson, Commissioner Gottwals and Chairman Perdue in favor; Commissioner Talton abstained.
Chairman Perdue thanked Public Works staff for inspecting the roads to ensure they met county specifications before the bond release. The acceptance transfers long‑term responsibility for maintenance and enforcement of speed limits to Houston County.
