Library staff told the board that the facility's parking lot is often at capacity and that they are working with neighbors to discourage residential parking. "The parking lot is at capacity often," the director said, and staff have added signs and are encouraging use of the city lot on Magnolia for overflow.
Staff also described strong use of the pickup lockers for holds and proposed adding another locker bank; the director suggested the foundation might be willing to fund an additional bank if demand persists. Temporary construction (porta-potty and contractor vehicles) will reduce available spaces for short periods while minor exterior work is completed.
