Visitor’s Center Director Peter Paulin gave an update on center activities. Jennifer Ricupero, manager for Friends of the Bridger-Teton Partnership, requested $57,765 in lodging-tax funding for an ambassador program, with $14,343 identified for FY26 and $43,422 for FY27; the Visitors Center board voted 4-0 in favor of the request, with one recusal.
Commissioners did not vote on the request June 2 and asked staff to report the county’s overall budget status before making a funding decision. Commissioner Vickrey expressed concern about event overlaps and attendee numbers related to Rendezvous and a concurrent baseball tournament; Peter Paulin said the county is prepared for the projected visitor numbers.
