Danville’s Board of Selectmen reviewed a draft request for proposals for propane service on July 13 and directed the administrator to post the RFP and begin outreach to vendors. Selectmen’s Administrator Vale VanDoorne-Freeman said the RFP breaks usage into estimated amounts by tank and excludes the Library, which uses oil and solar panels.
Vice Chair Shawn O’Neil asked that vendor quotes be based on aggregated usage across all included tanks so the town receives a single, comparative price. Vale said she visited town properties to identify tanks and reviewed the current vendor’s site to estimate usage; she will post the RFP on the NHMA site and begin phone outreach.
The board did not vote on contracting at the meeting; the RFP is to be finalized and distributed.
