The Danville Board of Selectmen voted July 13 to accept $14,451.44 in unanticipated insurance proceeds from RPC to address wind damage at Town Hall. Selectmen’s Administrator Vale VanDoorne-Freeman said the check had been received and recommended the board accept the funds.
"The amount of the unanticipated funds, $14,451.44," the administrator explained during the meeting. The board discussed using the funds first for repairs (window, siding, roof) and Vale said she already has two roof quotes and one quote each for siding and window; she was asked to seek at least one additional quote for siding and window to provide comparables before contracting.
Joe Hester moved and Shawn O’Neil seconded a motion to accept the funds to be applied toward Town Hall wind damage, less deductible and recoverable depreciation; the motion passed unanimously.
