Board approves Western Technology Center courses, adjunct instructors and MOU for Officer Freeborn

The board approved a slate of math and science courses to be taught at the Western Technology Center for the 2026–2027 school year, including Algebra II, Algebra III, Geometry, Chemistry, Calculus, AP Biology, multiple PLTW (Project Lead The Way) courses, Physics, Robotics Engineering and Concurrent College Algebra. The motion to approve the course list was made by Matt Fast and seconded by Bryan Bayless and passed 4–0 with one absence.
Separately, the board approved Kim McClure (Sayre Health Careers Instructor) and Linda Badillo (Burns Flat Health Careers Instructor) to serve as adjunct instructors offering Anatomy and/or Physiology credit to Health Careers students for 2026–27. The board also approved an M.O.U. with the City of Weatherford to provide Officer Freeborn for the 2026–27 school year. All related motions passed with recorded votes of yea among members present.
